The Problem

  • Register for sales tax (VAT/IOSS/OSS) - To import stock directly into the UK or EU you first need to register for VAT in the country your goods will be stored.

  • Employ a fiscal representative - Most countries require you to employ a local fiscal representative to comply with regulations

  • File monthly & quarterly VAT, IOSS & OSS returns - Every month & every quarter these figures must be submitted to the relevant tax authorities and paid for any sales tax you collect in each country.

  • Locally domiciled bank account - Some countries require you to have a locally domiciled bank account to make the sales tax payments

  • Pay a bond to the tax authority - There is a very high chance of having to leave a large financial bond with the tax authorities. This ties up your working capital.

  • Legal compliances - Every country has their owns specific laws when it comes to ecommerce. For example, in Germany you need to be registered as part of the LUCID scheme.

  • Shipping stock from your inventory held out of market - Every shipment to your customers will be an import. You'll need to decide on DDP or DAP shipping methods and be reliant on your goods passing customs quickly and upon your courier to be accurate to avoid customers being asked to pay additional fees.

  • Higher prices, slower & more expensive shipping - Customers who have to pay duty, experience slower and more expensive shipping options lead to a much lower conversion rate driving CPA's high, unprofitable revenue & an unhappy customer.

  • Language barriers & time zones - Dealing with fiscal representatives, tax authorities & customers in their local language and at their time becomes a lot to take on.

Alternative cross border ecommerce solutions are not only outdated but bring huge disadvantages when competing with local companies. They typically allow you to use their checkout so you can show and collect the correct duty and shipping charges to the consumer and use their DDP services to ship cross border.

Cross-border ecommerce brings its own challenges. If not done correctly to compete with local companies, you can be left with
low conversion rates, high CPA's and unprofitable revenue.

The Solution

Order Without Borders™ solves all of this for you and more. We understand ecommerce, we understand localisation but most importantly we understand what you need.

The only way to ensure high conversion rates and low cost per acquisition (CPA) is to be as local as you can, offer low shipping costs and fast shipping times using local methods such as local postal services, localised payment methods; adopt competitive pricing, provide great customer service in the consumers local language and understand consumer behaviour in that market.

Building trust with consumers is a must. By being local you eliminate the need to charge duty at checkout and will immediately reduce checkout abandonment.

Our legal framework allows us to handle all legal compliances as well as collecting and paying sales tax (VAT/OSS) to the relevant authorities.

Our multilingual customer service team speaks your customers' language. We handle customer service via email, live-chat, Facebook Messenger & WhatsApp. We provide a local telephone number in most regions allowing our team to take telephone orders.

Regular payments are sent back to you in your local currency at market rates without any currency conversion charges.
